Como is a beautiful town, very close to Milano and its airports. It contains numerous works of art, churches, gardens, museums, theatres, parks and palaces. It is the main city on the very well-known Lake of Como, one of the many lakes of glacial origin in Northern Italy, which is very close to the Alps. Lake Como has been a popular retreat for aristocrats and wealthy people since Roman times, and a very popular tourist attraction with many artistic and cultural gems. It has many neoclassical villas and palaces. Many famous people have or have had homes on the shores of Lake Como, which is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in the World.

Lake Como has a Mediterranean-like climate where tropical and sub-tropical plants can grow year-round. In the winter, the lake helps to maintain a higher temperature in the surrounding region. As a tourist destination, Lake Como is popular for its landscapes, wildlife, and spas. It is a venue for sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.

The Teatro Sociale, which was inaugurated in the year 1813, is a “Teatro all’Italiana”, diplaying typical features of Italian Architecture in XVIII and XIX centuries: horse-shoe shaped “platea” (the main floor) and several lines of “palchi” (boxes). It hosted many celebrated musicians, such as N. Paganini, F Liszt, G. Pasta and others. It is located in downtown Como, close to the Duomo (the Cathedral) and many other artistic attractions.

I look forward to welcoming you in Como.
